Trust & transparency

Is CarConnect legit?

Short answer: yes, and here is everything you would need to check it yourself. CarConnect is made by Loop Mobile FZCO, a software company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The app has been on the App Store since June 2026 and has earned 4.7 out of 5 from 1,260 ratings there, alongside more than 5,000 installs on Google Play.

Handing an app access to your car is a real decision, so the rest of this page is specific rather than reassuring: who we are, what the connection actually does, which data is read, and what happens when you want out.

Who builds CarConnect

CarConnect is built and operated by Loop Mobile FZCO, registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The same company name appears on the App Store and Google Play listings, so you can match what you install to who we say we are. Support reaches the people who write the app, at support@loopmobile.io.

Your carmaker password never reaches us

CarConnect connects to your vehicle through Smartcar, the connected-car platform used by a wide range of automotive apps. When you add a car, the app opens your manufacturer's own login page — Ford, GM, Toyota, Hyundai and so on. You sign in there. CarConnect receives a revocable access token and never sees, stores or transmits your carmaker credentials.

No dongle, no OBD adapter, no wiring, nothing plugged into your car. The connection runs over the factory telematics service your vehicle already has.

What CarConnect reads, and what it sends

Reading is limited to what your car exposes and what the app needs to show you: location, fuel level or EV charge and range, odometer, lock state, tire pressure, engine oil life, VIN and vehicle information, and service history where available.

Commands go the other way only when you tap them — lock and unlock, trunk, and starting or stopping EV charging on supported vehicles. The app does not act on your car on its own, and what any specific car accepts depends on what its manufacturer exposes. The free compatibility check tells you exactly what your make, model and year supports before you pay anything.

Getting out is as easy as getting in

Disconnect a car inside the app, or revoke CarConnect's access from your manufacturer account — either stops all reading and commands immediately. Subscriptions cancel in one tap from your App Store or Google Play account, with no phone call and no retention script, and every plan carries a 15-day money-back guarantee.

Support answered by the people who build it

Email support is answered 24/7 by the team that writes the app, not by an outsourced call centre and not by a chatbot. Most questions are about a connected-services account that has lapsed or a model year that is not supported, and you get a straight answer either way — including “this will not work for your car” when that is the honest answer.

Questions people actually ask

Is CarConnect a legitimate app?

Yes. CarConnect is published by Loop Mobile FZCO, a software company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is listed on both the Apple App Store and Google Play under that company name. It first shipped in June 2026 and holds 4.7 out of 5 from 1,260 App Store ratings, with more than 5,000 installs on Google Play.

Do I have to give CarConnect my carmaker password?

No, and you could not even if you wanted to. Connecting a car opens your manufacturer's own login page inside the app through Smartcar, the connected-car platform CarConnect is built on. You type your password on the carmaker's page, not ours — CarConnect never sees or stores it, and receives only a revocable access token.

What data does CarConnect read from my car?

Only what you connect it for: location, fuel level or EV charge and range, odometer, lock state, tire pressure, engine oil life, VIN and basic vehicle information, and service history where the carmaker exposes it. Commands are sent only when you tap them — the app never acts on your car by itself.

Can I disconnect my car later?

Yes, at any time and from either side: remove the car inside CarConnect, or revoke access from your manufacturer account. Revoking access stops all reading and all commands immediately.

What support do I get if something does not work?

Email support@loopmobile.io and a person from the team that builds CarConnect answers — 24/7, not a call centre and not a chatbot. If a connection problem turns out to be something we cannot fix, we say so rather than leave you subscribed.

How do I cancel?

In one tap. Subscriptions bought in the app are cancelled from your App Store or Google Play account; subscriptions bought on the web are cancelled from the customer portal. No phone call, no retention script, and every plan is covered by a 15-day money-back guarantee.

Which cars work with CarConnect?

14 makes and roughly 618 models, generally from model year 2010 onward, through each car's own connected-services account. What a particular car can do depends on what its carmaker exposes, so the free compatibility check gives the exact answer for your make, model and year before you subscribe — no account needed.
